I am an Australian Cinematographers Society (ACS) accredited Director of Photography whose experience encompasses a myriad of fields, including cinema and television drama, TV and cinema documentaries, commercials, music videos and corporate content. My passion for the image began early, when I started my working life as a graphic designer and commercial photographer. From there, it was a seamless transition into cinematography.
My work has taken me all over the world and has included a diverse tapestry of production, working with the likes of Sir David Attenborough, Berbers of the Sahara, Masai Warriors, world Presidents and Parisian fashion designers, to name a few. I am extremely accustomed to the rigorous task of filming abroad and have shot extensively across the Americas, Africa, Asia, Europe, New Zealand and all corners of Australia.
I have many years experience as a Director of Photography and my ability to work with speed, accuracy and artistic focus has been recognised with countless awards for best cinematography in the fields of cinema and television drama, cinema and television advertising, documentaries and music videos, including an ACCTA for best documentary cinematography. I have been the DOP on main and second unit cinema release features including Touch, Beautiful, Rogue and numerous short films as well as DOP for the German / Australian co-production television drama series Sam Fox Extreme Adventures and Windmill Pictures - Beep and Mort.
I am sought after for my diverse styles of filming, from high-end glossy magazine imagery to free-spirited, casual lifestyle and emotive imagery.
I compliment my aesthetic and creative talents with strong technical efficiency and knowledge. I have worked proficiently with all current camera formats including Arri, RED Blackmagic, Sony & Canon. This experience allows me to work in an extensive range of shooting styles, budget scales and conditions.
I am passionate about what I do and the imagery I capture and I hope to work with you on your next production.
